Taxpayers can request their tax transcripts online or by mail.
To request your tax transcript online click the following link to get to the IRS related page. This is the fatest way to get your transcripts. If you don’t have an existing IRS username or ID.me account, have your photo identification ready.
To get your transcript by mail click the link above, then browse to the section “Alternative to Requesting a Transcript Online”. Then fill and complete an application online. You can choose between “Tax Return Transcript” or “Account Transcript“.
You can also ask your CPA to do this for you. In this case make sure you fill out the form 8821 and sign it to give the tax information authorization to your CPA.
